Selection Criteria: Sheave Dia/Rope Dia = At least 12

The safe working load per single part of rope is approximately one sixth of the nominal breaking load of ropes as 2 2 specified in B.S.302 621 in the 6 x 37 group of tensile strength 100/110
ton / inch (160/175 kgf/mm ). This is the nominal breaking load on which the design of blocks to this standard is based.

The manner of test laid down in schedule II of DOCK Workers (Safety, Health, and Welfare)Regulations, 1990, is as follows:

Features

Bearings
The 4 1/2" Block is fitted with special bronze bush but can be fitted with taper roller bearings wIth special bronze bush if requested.
Capacity
The 4:1 capacity load given in the table are the maximum head fitting loads that should be applied to the Blocks.These capacity loads are based on a Fador of Safety of 4:1 and the Blocks are proof tested to twice this capacity load.The table also details a comparative capacity
load at Fador of Safety2:1 so that the users may compare the 'High Load' Blocks with alternative makes based on this Lower Safety Fador.

Double Sheave

Light champion snatch block as a double sheave block.
Drop forged swivel hook or swivel shackle.
Can be furnished with bronze bushing and roller bearings.
Opening features permits easy insertion of wire rope in both sheaveswith removal of one bolt.
Can be furnished with hook latch.
Pressurelube fittings.
Fatigue rated.
